Call for Paper

Anvīkṣā (Volume: XLVII) 2025

The Department of Sanskrit, Jadavpur University is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of Volume XLVII of its esteemed peer-reviewed research journal, Anvīkṣā. We are proud to share that the journal has successfully transitioned to a digital platform, further expanding its reach to scholars and readers worldwide. As in previous years, Anvīkṣā will be published in both online and printed formats, continuing its tradition of academic excellence and wide dissemination. We now invite original and unpublished research articles in Sanskrit, English, or Bengali from academicians, research scholars, and enthusiasts working in the broad field of Sanskrit studies and allied disciplines. Articles should adhere to the following word limits: an abstract of no more than 300 words, and the main article not exceeding 5,000 words. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the highest academic standards. We look forward to your valuable contributions to Anvīkṣā, Vol. XLVII.

Scholars are also requested to note these important points:

  • Scholars are requested to use “Microsoft Word” (DOC/DOCX) only for preparing their papers.
  • The paper size of the doc/docx should be of Royal size, i.e., 16 cm/23.5 cm (Portrait).
  • For all other specifications and format of the manuscript of the research articles scholars are requested to go thoroughly through the sample papers (DOCX and PDF format) available in the web portal. Sample DOCX paper can be used as a template by the author for the ease of writing/formatting as given below.

  • In the main manuscripts the author’s name should be typed only in this way- XXXXXX, as demonstrated in the sample papers. Otherwise, the paper will be directly rejected by the editor.
  • Scholars should prepare their manuscript and submit the same timely to avoid last minute rush.
  • Scholars are requested to thoroughly check their manuscripts before sending. It is noteworthy that multiple submission will not be entertained. Scholars may only edit and resubmit their articles after getting necessary notifications from the editor’s end.
  • Scholars must check regularly their email for latest update regarding their submitted articles. No telephonic communication will be entertained.
  • Editorial board of Anvīkṣā will only consider original, innovative manuscript for consideration of review process.
  • Throughout the processing, scholars should maintain the originality, authenticity and reliability of their paper.
  • All rights regarding the final selection and publication of research papers are reserved with the editor of the journal.
  • Plagiarism Check will be done through licensed / open source software (iThenticate, Viper etc.) and then the next process and communication will take place according to the plagiarism level.
  • Only those manuscripts will be processed for the review which are found to be in spirit with journal aims, publication policy and publication ethics with originality.
  • Scholars are advised to go through the ‘Publication Policies & Ethics’, which is available on the portal , to understand the overall mechanism of paper publishing.
  • It should be noted evidently that no fees or charges are required from authors for manuscript submission.
